The group's principal activity is to produce and sell manufactured homes. The homes are built to the standards promulgated by the U.S. Department of housing and urban development. Homes range in size from 640 to 2,720 square feet and typically include two to five bedrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen and two or more full bathrooms. The group also produces commercial structures for a variety of purposes, including portable school classrooms, retail showrooms and offices. The group sells manufactured homes through 311 independent retail outlets in 15 states and 25 group-owned retail outlets, primarily in Arizona and Texas. In Jun 2003, the group spun-off from centex corporation.
